This is a Haiku written by my 17-year-old son. It will take the place of my usual bookreview post for today. It is good for sons to help out fathers.

The pure beauty of life-By Kristopher Keeler

Tea leaves all gathered

Boiling water soon prepared

Drink of kings and gods

Calming me this night

Scent of brewed tea beckons me

Heals mind and body

As I drink, I watch

Moonlight illuminates all

Peace in this twilight

Flowers wilting, fall

Ever approaching winter

Spring calls forth new life

Soon Harvest will come

My blades now rusty and dull

I must prepare soon

Oxen plow the land

Burn the fields for new seedlings

Plant new life to grow

The forest bounty

dwindling every season

myself fading too

Frogs hop in the lake

plentiful fish to be found

that was 3 moons ago

The life I once knew

now soon to be forgotten

as I breathe my last
